Andrew Santagato is a Toronto based ‘Mask Maker’ and ‘Make-Up Artist’. In 2002, he studied Dick Smith’s Advanced Make-Up Course. Thanks to Dick’s help, Greg Nicotero (KNB EFX) hired him 2 years later to work on George A. Romero’s ‘Land Of The Dead’, which was shot in his hometown of Toronto, Canada.

A few years later, through Greg, he got a lucky opportunity to work on SAW: The Final Chapter. In 2011, Andrew teamed up with Dick Warlock (Michael Myers in ‘Halloween II’) to create a Signature Michael Myers mask in Celebration of the film’s 30th Anniversary.

He’s created such pieces as a Fred Gwynne “Dead is Better” Tribute piece for the Documentary “Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary, as well as Mr. Hockey himself, Don Cherry, along with many more pieces.

Being a Horror fan since he was a child, movies like the original “Halloween”, Michael Jackson’s “THRILLER” video and “Creepshow” were the big instigators that heavily influenced the start of his lifelong obsession with the horror genre and creating works of art to reflect that passion. He loves creating pieces from his favorite films, along with Original creations, and enjoys attending conventions to display his work, and share his passion for the genre with other fans. Andrew loves the art of creating something from scratch through Sculpture, as well as the process of Molding, Casting, Hairing, Painting etc., in order to bring his visions to life.

He is open to commission work, and can be reached at his Email:, Instagram: @andrewsantagato or on Facebook as Andrew Santagato
